As in Corel Draw it ought to be possible to create an envelope shaped to suit the layout which will define the arrangement of a block of text. Without this facility its near impossible to fit text into a non-rectangular shape.
As in Corel Draw the ability to move the rule zero positions around the work area is fundamental. Corel obviously agree otherwise they wouldn't have built it into corel draw.
Many times I make a series of changes to a drawing, just to see if any of them appeal to me, and find that none of them do. I then must use the undo function a number of times. An option to discard all changes and revert to the last saved version ...
Instead of straight quotes (" '), it would be nice to be able to type curved/smartquotes ( “ ‘ ’ “) in textboxes. One can copy and paste curved/smartquotes in, but when typing text, they always come in as straight quotes.
Documentation says we should be able to access glyphs and ligatures, but in practice I do not find I can access these font features in Corel Vector (where I know I could in Adobe Illustrator).
